The police broke up a drug gang in the Amsterdam region. Four people between the ages of 25 and 46 have been arrested.
The criminal investigation department got a picture of the organization after an extensive criminal investigation. On Tuesday it was decided to take action. Raids were carried out at various locations in Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Aalsmeer, Uithoorn, Lelystad, Zandvoort and a seaside resort in Spain.
In these raids large quantities of soft drugs, eleven vehicles, six firearms and several hundred thousand euros were seized. The police suspect that these goods were obtained with profits from the narcotics trade.
The investigation is still ongoing. The suspects come from Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Zandvoort and Uithoorn. Today they were brought before the examining magistrate who has placed them in custody for a period of fourteen days.
