A criminal network that was active in the importation, storage, adulteration and further trafficking, mainly to small traders, of quantities of heroin in areas of Western Attica was dismantled by the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Organized Crime Directorate.
For the case, two foreigners, 37 and 30 years old, were arrested as members of the organization, while the case file includes another member who is wanted.
According to her EL.ASwas preceded by appropriate utilization of information, verifications and cross-checking of evidence, use of special investigative techniques and profiling of those involved (profiling), by police officers of the Heroine Department, from which their criminal and uninterrupted activity was certified, with a hierarchical structure and specific roles:
- 37-year-old, leading member, was responsible for finding potential buyers, as well as forgery and coordinating the safe trafficking of narcotics,
- 30-year-old, was responsible for guarding the drug counterfeiting and reformulation laboratory, as well as for transporting them,
- another member, who is wanted, was responsible for importing the drugs into Greek territory and delivering them to the other members of the organization.
In searches carried out in a house and a vehicle, among other things, 40 improvised packages were found and confiscated, containing heroin with a total weight of 19 kg and 969 grams, counterfeit substance, with a total weight of 20 kg and 200 grams, counterfeiting and reprinting laboratory equipment (hydraulic compression press, molds, stamp, electric stirrers etc.), 21,590 euros, 2 vehicles, a motorcycle, an iron fist, 3 precision scales, 5 mobiles, a closed circuit camera and a lot of nylon packaging.
The 37-year-old tried to avoid the police control, putting up a strong resistance, without, however, succeeding in doing so and was immobilized.
From the investigations so far, it is estimated that the illegal financial benefit that the members of the organization would obtain from drug trafficking exceeds 360,000 euros.
Those arrested were taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
