The state of natural disaster for the phenomenon of “differential ground movements following drought and soil rehydration” for the year 2019 was recognized by interministerial decree of December 15, 2020, published in the Official Journal of December 23, 2020.
The state of natural disaster for this phenomenon is accepted when two criteria are simultaneously met during one or more quarters:
- a meteorological criterion: drought of an abnormal intensity
- a geological criterion: presence of clay
This recognition concerns the following municipalities:
- Cluny
- Montret
- Saint Vincent-en-Bresse
- Nurseries / Saône
- Romanèche-Thorins
- St Symphorien d’Ancelles
- Tancon
- Ormes St Germain-du-Plain
- St Martin-de-Lixy
- Towards
- Baudemont
- Colombier-en-Brionnais
- Genelard
- Marcigny
- St Laurent-en-Brionnais
- St Leger-sur-Dheune
- St Symphorie-des-Bois
- Saint-Vallier
- Sologny
On the other hand, the state of natural disaster for this same phenomenon was not recognized for the following municipalities: Brion, Epinac, Montcoy, Saint-Ambreuil, Chaudenay.
All the municipalities will soon receive a reasoned notification of the decisions published today.
Policyholders who have suffered damage to their property as a result of this phenomenon must declare it as quickly as possible to their insurance company. The maximum deadline for this declaration is set at ten days from the publication of the interministerial order in the Official Journal.
