(AOF) – Drone Volt has signed a new distribution contract with its American partner, Aquiline Drones, for an order that could reach up to 700 drones belonging to the Hercules range. Revenues related to the delivery of the 700 drones would represent a turnover of more than $ 15 million at list price.
They would be added to the income related to the order for 600 Hercules drones, placed by Aquiline Drones in April 2021, as well as to the royalties that Drone Volt receives from its American partner under the license agreement concluded between the two companies in October 2020. As a reminder, this license agreement must generate a guaranteed minimum of $ 1.5 million for the 2021 fiscal year.

The repairability index enters into force in France
This index, on a scale of 1 to 10, will allow consumers to know whether products can easily be repaired or not. Its display has been mandatory since January 1, 2021. This measure is part of the anti-waste law for a circular economy voted in February 2020.
According to the Environment and Energy Management Agency, only 35% of French people say they have had recourse to repairs. The authorities are targeting a repair rate for electrical and electronic products of 60% within five years.
For the moment the initiative is limited to France but Europe is also considering a similar approach to fight against waste and planned obsolescence.
