A drone has reportedly hit a high-rise in Moscow
A drone hit a high-rise building in central Moscow on Tuesday night, according to the city’s mayor.
– The Russian air defense system is said to have shot down a number of drones aimed at Moscow, but one of the drones hit the same high-rise that was hit last week, reports the city’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Telegram.
The high-rise is to be an office building, and that the facade on the 21st floor has been damaged. There is glass damage in an area of around 150 square metres, says the town’s mayor.
So far no injuries have been reported.
In addition, Moscow’s international airport, Vnukovo, was temporarily closed to arrivals and departures for a short period overnight on Tuesday, according to the state news agency TASS. It was later reported that they had resumed normal operations at the airport.
The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyj, recently promised that the war would be shifted to a greater extent on Russian territory.
On the night of Tuesday, Russian drone attacks against Kharkiv in Ukraine were also reported. One person is said to have been injured.
