Fragments of a Russian drone fired towards Kiev fell near the building of the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada. On the night of Friday to Saturday, Russian troops fired 67 drones at various targets in Ukraine, Ukrainian air defense shot down 58 of them.
The Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) reported on social media that the fragments of the downed drone did not cause any damage. The published photos show the remains of the drone, launched on the night of Friday to Saturday by the Ukrainian military.
MP Maksym Buzhansky, representing the presidential party Servant of the People in the unicameral chamber, wrote on Telegram that “the drone tried to fly into the Rada building, but was shot down and fell in front of the building’s threshold.”

58 Shaheds shot down
On the night of Friday to Saturday, Russian troops fired a total of 67 Shahed drones at various targets in Ukraine. 58 of them were shot down by Ukrainian air defense. The Russians attacked from occupied Crimea, Kursk Oblast and Krasnodar Krai.
The Kiev military administration announced that the night attack was massive, but none of the drones reached their target. The capital’s authorities emphasized that all the drones were shot down, but their fragments fell in several central districts of the city. According to the interlocutor of the portal “Ukrainska Pravda”, the fragments were found on the streets of the so-called government district, where – in addition to the parliament – the building of the Council of Ministers and the office of President Volodymyr Zelensky are also located.
