The airport near the Russian city of Pskov was attacked by drones on Tuesday evening. Several devices have been damaged.

Images of thick clouds of smoke rising from the airport can be seen on social media. Several explosions were heard.
According to regional governor Mikhail Vedernikov, the Russian army repelled the attack and no injuries were reported in the drone attack.
At least four IL-76 transport aircraft would have been damaged. Two aircraft would have completely gone up in flames.
According to Russian media, explosions were also heard in the cities of Tula and Bryansk, but these reports have not yet been confirmed.
After the drone attack, Russia closed the airspace above Vnukovo International Airport near Moscow for a short time. Vnukovo is one of the largest airports in the country.
Pskov is a medium-sized Russian city with 200,000 inhabitants close to the Estonian border. The city is located about 650 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
