driving with 2.54 g of alcohol in the blood, a Montcellien intercepted on the A43

On Wednesday 30 December, shortly before 6 p.m., users of the A43 motorway, approaching the Saint-Quentin-Fallavier barrier towards Lyon, reported to the police an Audi A3 which was circulating by carrying out deviations and swerves.

According to our colleagues from Dauphiné released, the car is intercepted at the toll by the gendarmes of the motorized platoon of La Verpillière. The screening is positive and the driver, a 50-year-old Montcellian, is brought back to the premises of the unit in order to measure his alcohol level, which, at 2.54 grams of alcohol in the blood, greatly exceeds the maximum authorized threshold.

After a night in a drunken cell, he explained that he had drunk with friends, before deciding to drive back to his home in Montceau-les-Mines. With his car confiscated and his license removed, he was released with a summons for a hearing at the Vienna Court of Justice.
