Drivers who deliberately undergo technical inspection in non-accredited organizations are threatened criminal liability… About it TASS told the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The department said that the case for such drivers may be instituted under Part 3 of Art. 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Acquisition of a knowingly forged document”. The punishment under this article provides for restriction or imprisonment for up to one year.
“If against a citizen committed illegal actions during the technical inspection of the car, he must apply to the territorial body of internal affairs with a corresponding statement,” – explained in the department.
Since July 27, Russia has tightened administrative and criminal liability for violations during technical inspection. The corresponding law was signed by the President of Russia a year ago. Such measures are explained by the wide practice of selling “gray” diagnostic cards without a car inspection.
Such a crime is now punishable by a fine of up to 300 thousand rubles, or compulsory labor for up to 480 hours, or arrest for a period of two to six months.
