A dangerous drift in a busy neighborhood of Yambol miraculously escaped without injury. Video shows the moment a driver loses control and crashes into parked cars in front of a block. In the neighborhood, they want a police officer lying down and speed limit signs.
The man enters the “Graf Ignatiev” district from the nearby intersection, but cannot take the turn and hits the cars. The place is lively – there are shops, restaurants and a kindergarten.
“Suddenly, I hear a car moving very loudly and I see, for now the taxi was going to hit them, but it does one thing abruptly and does not control the steering wheel and hits the cars here,” said Atanaska Georgieva, an eyewitness.
Minutes earlier, Desislava crossed the site on her way home. “I passed right between these two cars. I’m sitting in the kitchen, I hear the collision, I go out and when I see it, I shout to myself – what if I was between the cars?!”, she said.
After the impact, the driver got out of the car, there was a girl with him. Both scared.
“A young boy, a little one, maybe he didn’t have a chance to control the steering wheel. Here it turns on the track, stop at night and you will hear the sounds of the cars pushing,” said Georgieva.
The neighborhood is among the largest in the city, there are shops and a kindergarten within meters.
The police told BTV that they could not determine whether the driver exceeded the speed limit. He tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
