Driverless man drives around with children with alcohol and drugs | Inland

The man fell by the wayside around 3 p.m. on Saturday due to an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) hit, or license plate recognition, near Harderwijk. The reason for this ‘hit’ was that the license plate holder has an invalid driver’s license as of 2019. The Lelystad Police Team then ‘caught’ the car.

The license plate holder turned out to be the driver. The 41-year-old man from Wassenaar had again drunk alcohol this time and tested positive for drugs. The man’s blood was taken. “In addition to the fact that this behavior is very irresponsible for himself and his fellow road users, the man also had three passengers in the car, including two children,” said the police.
