The chief prosecutor of Quirihue, Eduardo Planck Muñoz, reported that Matías Muñoz Gatica (19), who was formalized for drug trafficking, in the Coelemu Guarantee Court.

Precisely, this morning he was arrested by Carabineros in that commune with 74.17 grams of cocaine and 58.3 grams of marijuana that he kept inside the car in which he was inspected. In addition, 30 drug dosing bags, a weight, two cell phones and 521 thousand pesos were seized.

Prosecutor Eduardo Planck requested preventive detention, arguing that his freedom constitutes a danger to the security of society, but the court did not accept this request and left him under total house arrest. However, the prosecutor appealed at the hearing, so the First Court of Appeals of Chillán must decide tomorrow whether or not to accept the precautionary measure requested by the Prosecutor’s Office.

The Coelemu Guarantee Court decreed a 120-day deadline for the investigation.
