A driver who fled from police at high speed for 45 minutes ended up falling 100 feet (30 meters) off a cliff on Long Island (NY) and miraculously survived, Hollywood production style.

The suspect fled and reached speeds of up to 100 mph while crossing back and forth on the eastern tip of Long Island. At one point, the driver turned onto Sound Road in Greenport, heading toward the water, and did not stop, police said.
“He never stopped, he never slowed down,” Flatley said. “He hit an embankment at the end of the street, flew off the cliff, left the beach and entered Long Island Sound.”
The car landed 3 to 5 feet into the water. Officers swooped in, pulled the driver out and arrested him, police said. Flatley said the man He complained of pain, but had no visible injuries..
