NEW YORK — Police have opened an investigation after a driver was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in the Bronx on Monday.
The incident took place on Monday, October 30, around 1:15 am on Shakespeare Avenue, in the area of Highbridge.
The victim, identified as a 47-year-old man, was traveling south on Shakespeare Avenue before he was hit by a car.
According to police, he was taken to the hospital before officers arrived at the scene. It was not clear which local hospital he was taken to.
The 47-year-old man is currently in critical condition.
