On the 2nd of last month, a man from a plastic surgery stumbled onto a vehicle.

About 5 minutes later, the vehicle rushed into the sidewalk after less than 100m, and the woman in her 20s who was hit by the vehicle fell into a state of brain death.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office arrested and indicted the driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old surnamed Shin, on charges of escape and drug driving under the Special Act.

On the day of the accident, Shin received a dermatological procedure for about 9 hours and immediately got behind the wheel.

It was immediately after taking narcotic drugs such as midazolam, and as a result of the investigation, seven drugs were detected in Shin’s body.

Initially, Shin claimed to have rescued the victim immediately after the accident, but the prosecution’s investigation revealed it to be false.

CCTV footage at the time shows Shin exiting the scene, even though the victim is under the car.

Shin later visited a plastic surgery clinic and was found to have attempted to fabricate evidence related to drug use.

After visiting the hospital, Shin, who was caught by the police, resisted strongly during the arrest process.

Prosecutors found a bundle of money worth 130 million won during a search and seizure of Shin’s residence and are investigating the source.

In particular, the prosecution plans to verify that this money is not illegally earned criminal proceeds such as gangster activities or gambling.
