The emergency services responded to the traffic accident on E16 Eggemoveien at 15.20 on Saturday afternoon.
The police quickly reported that there had been a violent collision.
– A-pillar is deformed on one of the cars, they write on Twitter.
In the same update, the police state that both drivers have been transported to the trauma reception at Ringerike hospital, and that one of the drivers is said to have blown to almost 3 on the breathalyzer.
– The patrol quickly suspected that there was alcohol involved. They assisted with first aid on site and it smelled of alcohol. The person was snowy in the conversation and blank in the eyes, says operations manager in the South-East police district, Trond Egil Groth, to NRK.
Both drivers were transported to Ringerike hospital after the accident.

Several witnesses have testified
The operations center states later in the afternoon that they have received several telephone calls from witnesses who are said to have observed one of the cars before the accident on E16.
– It then allegedly drove longer distances in the opposite lane – and exhibited life-threatening driving behavior, the police report.
Opposite NRK, the operations manager elaborates:
– There are several who have been behind the car from Jevnaker, but who have not had the opportunity to contact the police before. It was a completely risky journey, says Groth.
He adds that the driver can expect bread, water and a juicy fine. At the same time as the driver’s license will be revoked.
– Now we have created a case on this. And an extended sample is taken of the suspect. Witnesses will then be questioned. The other party will be questioned, and the accused will be questioned, Groth explains.
The E16 was closed for a long time in both directions as a result of the accident, and there have been long queues at the site. Just after 5 pm, the police were able to report that the road is open for normal traffic.
