PHOENIX – A Valley woman is reporting damage to her home after a surveillance camera captured the exact moment a driver crashed into the yard of her Phoenix home and fled the scene.
The collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in a neighborhood near 16th Street and Broadway Road.
Shocking video shows a car crashing into a yard, causing serious damage. The driver fled and now residents of the home are hoping authorities will find that person and face charges.
Sylvia Fuentes said she heard a loud noise the night before and looked out the window, but she wasn’t wearing her glasses and thought someone might be having car trouble near her driveway. She didn’t know what really happened until a few hours later, when she got up to walk her dog.
He also said the fence around his house was broken along with his two vehicles. One of those vehicles was pushed into the part of his house that he uses as an office, damaging the walls and roof.
Fuentes’ Ring security camera video captures the moment the car crashed into the property. Fuentes said the collision knocked out power to part of his home, so the security camera couldn’t record anything else.
Videos captured by others in the area shortly after the crash show what appears to be an orange car smoking in the driveway. Someone can be seen opening the driver’s side door.
Fuentes called Phoenix police on Sunday morning and filed a report. Now, she hopes the person responsible will come forward and be held accountable.
