Driver, brother-in-law and father from Twente caught drunk driving one after the other | NOW

A driver from Twente lost his driving license on the night from Friday to Saturday because he drove on the N18 with alcohol. When his brother-in-law came to pick him up, he also appeared to be drunk behind the wheel. The driver’s father was subsequently ticketed when he, too, huddled behind the wheel to go to his son.

The Haaksbergen police report on Saturday Facebook that at midnight she received a report about a car that was turned upside down along the N18. The occupants had already left the vehicle and had only minor injuries.

Police officers on the spot smoked alcohol from the driver, who was found to have consumed four times the permitted amount of alcohol: he blew 370 µg, while a maximum of 95 µg was allowed. After an official report was made against him, it turned out that his car was not insured and that he had previously lost his driving license. The police therefore issued two more official reports.

To help the driver, his brother-in-law drove to the N18, but the police also smelled alcohol. The man blew 470 µg, while a limit of 220 µg applied to him. The police therefore also made an official report against him.

While all this was taking place, a police unit was on its way to the site to assist. She found a scooter driving on the N18, while this is not allowed. During the inspection, the driver turned out to be the father of the novice motorist.

Once again the police smelled alcohol. The man blew 720 µg, where 220 µg was allowed. He has lost his driving license and an official report was also made against him.
