Driver Arrested for Second Time for Toll Evasion Using Electronic Device on George Washington Bridge

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey arrested for the second time a driver who allegedly used an electronic device to hide his car’s license plate and evade paying tolls on the George Washington Bridge.

On Friday, September 22, Port Authority Police arrested a man identified as New Jersey resident Adam Jimenez.

The vehicle in which Jiménez was traveling had an electronic device that hid the car’s license plate and thus avoided paying the toll on the George Washington Bridge.

The subject was arrested and faces charges of toll evasion, possession of robbery tools and fraudulent possession of documents.

The authority reported that this is the second time that the suspect has been arrested for evading bridge fees.

In February of this same year, he was arrested after an electronic curtain was detected that partially covered the license plate of the car.

Port Authority detailed that it has arrested 16 drivers for evading tolls on this same bridge using devices to hide licenses.
