Driven hunting season for ungulates has opened in Belarus | Society

The driven hunting season for ungulates will last until December 31. This was reported in press service of the Ministry of Forestry.

So, you can hunt animals of regulated species elk, wild boar, red and sika deer, fallow deer, mouflon.

You can hunt in a pen and with dogs during daylight hours, from an ambush and from the approach during the day. For hunting elk, red deer, fallow deer, adult wild boar over two years old, it is allowed to use rifled hunting weapons with a muzzle energy of a bullet over 3 thousand J, smooth-bore hunting weapons using cartridges loaded with a bullet, hunting bows and crossbows.

For sika deer, roe deer, mouflon and young wild boar rifled hunting weapons with a muzzle energy of a bullet over 1.5 thousand J, smooth-bore hunting weapons using cartridges loaded with a bullet or buckshot, hunting bows and crossbows.

Acceptable dog breeds are determined by decisions of hunting ground users, the department clarified.

Driven hunts are a high-risk area and require even greater responsibility from its participants, especially from hunt managers, the Ministry of Forestry noted.
