Laura Lorena Maytorena Ochoaadministrator of the health center, reported that this activity is part of a program of the Ministry of Health and for the first time they implemented the modality ‘Drive thru‘, that is, it was possible to vaccinate the pets without having to get them out of the car, with a team of 23 people who work at the Center.
“It’s the first time we’ve done this from the car and we’ve had a very good number of visitors. How people work, sometimes they can’t stay but this way they’ve been able to get closer,” he said.
In addition to these days, to reduce the health risks due to the presence of rabies in stray animals, the health center staff carry out sweeps and request permission from the inhabitants of the neighborhoods to vaccinate animals that live outdoors.

“Every week we go to Puerta Real, Villa California, Las Cuevitas, El Rodeo, Las Dunas, Forest, all around us. We do this twice a week. We make a sweep by loudspeaking”, precise.

It should be noted that, in the event that it is difficult for citizens to travel to the health center, the staff offers two options: visit the home to vaccinate the animal in question or prepare the doses and train the owner to attend for the vaccine and administer it to your pet.
