#DRIVE Rally attracts arcade racing and Czech » Vortex

If you liked the game Art of Rallywhich, by the way, is praised by 94 percent of players on Steam, and a few days ago it expanded to include DLC with Australiawe have a tip for another interesting title that might catch your eye. #DRIVE Rally follows on from mobile cars #DRIVE, which was released on iOS and Android and later also on Switch. New from the studio Pixel Perfect Dude, as the name suggests, beckons to rally and takes us back to the nineties. But with a possible admixture of the eighties, the developers suggest.

Of course, we will be racing in different places at different times of the year and on different surfaces. Cars inspired by famous specials await us, albeit with fictitious names, and of course the indispensable navigator will sit by our side. The cars will be able to be modified according to our taste and personal driving preferences, but the arcade gameplay should play a premium.

Something for everyone

However, this does not mean that the novelty does not offer an appropriate challenge or depth. The controls are intended to be intuitive and easy to master, but challenging to master. Beginners don’t have to be afraid of the steering wheel, but even veterans should try. On the other hand, the damage model will play no role here.

#DRIVE Rally promises a career mode, but we don’t know the details yet. The game will offer the possibility to compare your times in online rankings, but will not offer classic multiplayer. It’s a rally after all, so you won’t be meeting anyone on the same track at one point. The authors do not even plan online cooperation. But a photo mode will be prepared for the toys.

The game should retail for around $20, but will be available at an interesting discount at launch, the team suggests. #DRIVE Rally will do without microtransactions and premium currency. At most larger paid DLC packs may be released in the future. But of course that also depends on her success.

#DRIVE Rally is aimed at PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch and even promises an official Czech localization. Unlike its predecessor, the title is not currently targeting mobile platforms. The authors say that they are a small studio and need to focus on the essentials. There should be some sort of closed beta next year, and a demo version should also come out before the release. We will hopefully see the full game in 2024.

You can find more details about the game at Steamwhere authors regularly share news in the updates section.
