NEW YORK — Inflation is impacting all aspects of life, even for the most luxurious experiences.
A hotel in New York City is charging a high price for afternoon tea. And while it’s not surprising that such a posh experience in the city costs a pretty penny, the cost is staggering even for the fanciest among us.
The Baccarat Hotel New York recently launched The Crystal Tea, or “Crystal Tea,” which is now the most expensive afternoon tea in the city. So how much does it cost?
Tea for two will set you back $3,000. That’s almost enough for a down payment on a car.
But this is more than a cup of tea and some sandwiches. The menu, curated by a Michelin-starred chef, features caviar, white truffles, Kobe beef, and lobster.
“Crystal Tea” is served daily from 12 pm to 4 pm in the Great Hall of the hotel located in Midtown.
