The car got stuck in the mud and could only be freed with the help of floor mats. When the driver left the field again, he forgot the floor mats. On his way home, he hit the wall of a house with his car and committed a hit-and-run. The land and house owner informed the police on Friday morning, who were able to quickly locate the 21-year-old. He had 0.6 per mille of alcohol in his blood.
Drifting maneuvers cause damage
The cases of – mostly young – drivers who are out and about for fun drifting maneuvers on snowy meadows and grain fields had recently increased. “We have been struggling for a long time with the fact that peasant property is being respected less and less and that conflicts arise,” complained recently Agricultural Councilor Max Hiegelsberger (VP). “Damage is being done willfully here.” He not only wants criminal prosecution, but also deliberate dealing with the issue.
