Drew Brees and Co. criticize the NFL’s Corona plan

Numerous NFL professionals fear incorrect handling of the corona virus and criticized the league immediately before the planned start of the training camp.

“We need football! We need sport! We need hope! The NFL’s unwillingness to follow the recommendations of its own medical experts will prevent that. If the NFL doesn’t help keep us players healthy, there won’t be football in 2020. It’s that simple, “wrote New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.

Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks and other top stars were also concerned.

The background to the dispute is that some professionals from the Chiefs and the Houston Texans have to compete with their teams on Monday, but there is still no agreement on how and how often the corona virus is tested and what consequences a positive result has. All teams are planning to start training during the week.

The players union NFLPA also fights against the health games and the increased transmission risk against the test games desired by the NFL in the season preparation. According to the players’ union on Friday, 65 NFL professionals have been infected with the virus in the past few weeks.
