Strong gusts of wind caused a tree to tip over at the Zschoner Mühle in Dresden on Saturday. The falling vegetation on the street Am Zschoner Berg tore up power and telephone lines.

According to TAG24 information, the power supply to several residents is therefore interrupted. The telephone line and the Internet have also failed.

Then a technician from SachsenEnergie had to move out and cut the lines. Only then could the alarmed comrades of the Dresden fire brigade dismantle the tree and eliminate the mischief on the street.

A spokeswoman for SachsenEnergie confirmed the power failure to TAG24, which continued in the evening. “Technicians are on duty to restore supplies,” she said.

The street was completely closed for about two hours.

As the SachsenEnergie spokeswoman announced, the ten households affected should be reconnected to the grid by 8.45 p.m. at the latest.
