In the absence of the cross-country nations Sweden, Norway and Finland, Switzerland and Russia triumphed in the team sprints of cross-country skiers on Sunday in Dresden.

In the women’s category, the Swiss Laurien van der Graaff and Saturday winner Nadine Fähndrich prevailed. In the men’s category, the Russians Alexander Bolschunov and Gleb Retivykh won. Federico Pellegrini, still successful in the individual sprint on Saturday, achieved a good third place together with Francesco De Fabiani.

Michael Hellweger and Maicol Rastelli clearly missed the finals of the top 10 in their semi-finals as 8th and were ultimately rated 15th. Rastelli fell on the first lap.
