The state protection of the Dresden police is investigating three cases in which the Nazi salute was shown and right-wing extremist slogans were shouted at the weekend. On Saturday evening, a 49-year-old woman is said to have shown the Hitler salute in Löbtau. She was apparently targeting a meeting that was taking place on Tharandter Strasse.

The woman is being investigated for using signs belonging to unconstitutional organizations.

Witnesses in Blasewitz had already reported to the police on Friday that around 11 p.m. a group of ten people were shouting right-wing slogans several times. By the time officers got to the fishing pier, the group had disappeared, police said.

Half an hour later, officials were on duty in a similar case in Dresden’s Johannstadt. At Bönischplatz, people from a group of six are said to have also shouted right-wing slogans. This group also fled before the officers arrived.
