Dresden controls corona rules | Sächsische.de

Dresden. The Dresden Public Order Office regularly sends employees through the city to check whether the currently applicable Corona rules are being adhered to. They had to write an advertisement more than 200 times in February. The city administration announced on Wednesday.

A total of 207 violations were found, including 68 of the mask requirement. Since February 15, those caught have to pay significantly more fines for this: While it was previously 60 euros, waiving the mouth and nose cover now costs 100 euros.

The employees also checked whether Dresdeners, for whom quarantine was ordered by the health department, are sticking to it and staying at home. To do this, they rang 200 to 250 people at home every week in February. Nobody was found 16 times. If this is the case, the health department deals with the person concerned.

The applicable contact restrictions and hygiene concepts were also checked by the employees of the municipal enforcement service, both in uniform and, if necessary, and randomly in civilian clothes.
Dresden’s First Mayor Detlef Sittel (CDU) emphasizes the importance of these missions: “Compliance with and implementation of the rules on infection protection is still important in the fight against the pandemic.” That is why there will continue to be intensive controls, said Sittel. (SZ / noa)
