The Dreilinden retirement center is now offering integrated day care places during a 2-​year pilot phase. This additional offer is intended to relieve family members who care for them, as the municipality of Risch writes in a press release. For at least two years there will be a maximum of two integrative day places in the sheltered group home.

The reason? Before the ballot box vote on the new center in Dreilinden in 2021, the desire for a day care center had been brought to the municipal council, writes the municipality.

Day care places have already caused a stir in Risch. At an information event held by the municipality of Risch about the new care center in Dreilinden last summer, it was said that no day care center was planned in the new care home. The reason: Such an offer already exists in Baar, for example, reported the “Zuger Zeitung”. The announcement led to severe criticism from the cantonal senior citizens’ association. The association told the newspaper that savings had been made at the wrong end.
