“Dredge Expansion Schedule and DLC Roadmap: New Features, Updates and More”

Team17 and Black Salt Games have shared with us the content expansion schedule for Dredge.

A PlayStation Blogon according to the readable announcement, the update coming in the last quarter (October-December) will only be paid, everything else will be free. The map markers will come in the second quarter (ie by the end of June at the latest). This is one of the features that so many of us have been asking for. This will come with the first free update in May. With the addition of map markers, you can choose from different colored icons to represent hazards, shipwrecks, mysteries, and more, allowing you to navigate between locations more efficiently than before. The update will fix a few bugs and balance some things.

The photo mode, which is currently missing from the game, will also be added in the second quarter, and the wildlife will expand a bit. In the second update of the game, the passive mode will come, which is intended for players who prefer a less intense experience. Monsters that normally attack fishing boats will no longer be aggressive, allowing players to focus on fishing and enjoying the peaceful environment. (And with this, the gaming experience is also thoroughly smoothed out.) The developers have chosen a different approach for the photo mode. It is not simply shoved into a menu item. After the update, a new character will be added to the game. He’ll be helping you with your camera skills and sharing tips on where to find some of the local marine life (there’ll be some new ones too). The photo mode is directly connected to the image sharing function of the PlayStation.

Boat Point is coming in the third quarter (July-September). This introduces customization options related to our ship, such as paint and flags.
