DREAMS – early access gamers can get started earlier

Media Molecule and Sony are happy to announce that gamers who have already purchased the exclusive PS4 Dream Workshop Dreams in the beta or early access phase will be able to play the game earlier.You will have access to the full version from February 11, 2020. In addition, the duo behind “Pig Detective” explains in a new video what is possible with Dreams.

With the Pig Detective series, one of the first game series from Germany went online in Dreams, which was created entirely using the tools offered in Dreams. The German duo, consisting of Sebastian (SdeReu) and Lotte (Lotte_Double) explain in the latest video how much creative freedom Dreams offers. Whether games, music, film or art – in Dreams, very personal ideas and dreams take shape quickly and easily. The duo gives insights into the exciting development process of Pig Detective and also describes the strong community cohesion.

New Dreams content for early access players available from February 11th

Early access players can upgrade to the full version of Dreams before the release on February 14th. The creator patch update will be released on February 11th at 1:00 p.m. CET and will allow access to all new content. You can continue to work seamlessly on your projects with the new update.

The creative adventure in full length: Arts dream

This story is about the former jazz musician Art, who dreams of his life, past and present and realizes that he has a lot to make up for with his band mates. The journey takes him through a series of dream-like situations in which players encounter various dazzling fantasy creatures – including D-Bug, a helpful little robot with an electrifying personality, and Francis, a hammer-vibrating teddy bear. Will Art take his chance to make amends or will his dreams become nightmares?

New Creator Phrases

In addition, you get access to the “Arts Dream” creator sets, which include noir, scifi and fantasy creations. In addition, there are two more sentences for dream shaping and home in the game: “Welcome Home” and “Ancient Temple”.

New home introduction & user interface

You can expect a new introduction for the home area as well as several new tutorials and instruction videos in the workshop. The user interface that was implemented for dream surfing appears as a significant update for dream shaping as well. This should make it easier for you to find content and collections for your own creations.

Creations & tools

Added better thermometer tools (level analysis and heat maps), camera bookmarks and a completely new control scheme that uses the left and right sticks instead of the motion sensor function (for players who prefer this option). Furthermore, bug fixes were developed, fine tuning was carried out throughout the game and a lot of minor changes were made.

Dreams will be available digitally in the PlayStation Store and physically in retail stores from February 14, 2020 and can already be found in PlayStation Store can be pre-ordered for € 39.99.
