When I find myself dreaming of a future trip, there is one destination that always comes up in my top 3: New York !
I had the chance to go there twice already: in 2009 with my friends Isa and Vava, we danced there for 10 days in the heart of summer, it was crazy. We had slept in a youth hostel, taken lots of dance lessons and walked the streets tirelessly. A journey as tiring as it is exhilarating! Far from being jaded, I dream of going back there, again and again, as I feel good in this city. It’s as if we already knew it by heart, through the films and series that rocked us since we were little, and that we had the possibility of touching a part of the famous American dream. So yes, without any hesitation I dream of going back there, and with my darling this time. Because it’s really THE trip I’d like to do as a couple, as a couple, even if I’ve been there before, and he too, by the way, but not yet together.
I already have a small idea of our program, with the essentials to do and redo: Times Square, Central Park, Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, Broadway, Brooklyn Bridge, Soho, Greenwich, East Village, Harlem, Empire State Building, High Line. But also finally discover Brooklyn et Williamsburg, Coney Island, le MoMa, Bryant Park et China Town that I don’t know yet. Stroll through the streets, nose to the wind, admiring the skyscrapers. Mingle with the crowd and live for a few hours to the rhythm of this city that never sleeps. Treating myself to all these atmospheres… Yes, really, I dream of it!
