CORDUROY. England held on to the favorite pressure, and had the margins on their side.
The home nation defeated Austria 1-0 in front of a record audience in the premiere of the European Football Championship.
The winning goal was scored by Beth Mead, who managed to get the ball just over the goal line.
– I’m quite happy. To be able to set the first goal in the European Championships in front of such a large audience. It can not get better, says the match hero afterwards.
