If anyone knows how to cause a stir in this season of ‘Dream School’, it’s Anouk. She manages to drive Rector Eric van ‘t Samede (50) and Lucia Rijker (55) to despair several times, and now that the end of ‘Dream School’ is approaching, her fellow students also seem to have had enough. They are completely fed up with her behavior and Eric and Lucia have no choice but to organize an ‘intervention’.
“If you can cry in front of the camera on cue, I think you’re playing a character”
In the previous episode it is already clear that there are tensions in the group. When cleaning is necessary, everyone is busy, but Anouk fails for the umpteenth time. Davey does not accept this and confronts her about her behavior. What follows is a fierce discussion. Eric and Lucia do not miss the quarrel either and they realize that they have to do something about the discontent within the group.
They manage to get Anouk to apologize for the group and talk to the students about her behavior. But if Anouk is allowed to speak, her story takes a completely different direction. She looks back with tears on her difficult childhood and her insecurities. When the students go outside afterwards, it appears that her story has made little impression on them. “Look, it’s brave that she dares to tell,” Jasper explains. “But I actually expected an apology and she didn’t say that.”

Davey also appears to have little understanding for Anouk. “It’s one big puppet show,” he roars. “I’m not going to fake it.” Lucia understands the students’ frustrations. “She went into the victim role and the story of ‘what was done to me’, when I promised the group that she would share her awareness of the effect she has on others. And that’s where it went wrong.”

Lucia loses her temper in explosive episode of Dream School
Lucia and Rector Eric decide to let it rest for a day, but on the very last day of Dream School do they want to come back to it. “Yesterday Lucia and I had a long dinner,” he addresses the group. “We started the day with Anouk and of course that didn’t feel right. We saw your struggle with the fact that it didn’t feel authentic.” Anouk soon struggles and complains about the fact that she has acted so vulnerable.
Remarkably, this time it is Aram who lashes out at her. Where we can see in the previous episode that she and Aram are kissing on the couch, the love between the two now seems to have cooled down. “You’re playing your character again,” he snaps at her. “Oh, so I’m playing a character?” Anouk asks him. “Yes, if you can cry in front of the camera on cue, then I think you are playing a character. I don’t feel like your drama anymore.”

Anouk indicates that she Dream School would like to close on a positive note. “Can’t I just ignore him? I mean it’s the last day.” Aram does not accept this. “It’s not about you. It’s about the facking group. And if you knew that, you would be there. But you weren’t. And then you come to the last day with fun and get positivity, fack that.” It is Davey who eventually comes up with a compromise: “If we all just shut up and don’t start bitching at each other and don’t bitch at each other.”
