Dream Legend Students Preparing for ‘Sound Dream Flight What We Become Live 2023’ Concert After 1,000 Days of Progress

A group of “Dream Legend” students composed of dreams have passed 1,000 days without realizing it. From the initial participation in the competition with fear, now they have developed and achieved their own achievements. They are about to hold the “Sound Dream Flight What We Become Live 2023” concert, which is also a good time to review their extraordinary 1,000 days. The first group of interviewees included Yao Zhuofei (Chantel), Zhong Roumei (Yumi), Zhan Tianwen (Windy), Pan Jingwen (Sherman), Sun Hanlin (Turkey) and Lin Junyi (Venus), let us take off again with them.

The students of “Sound Dream 1” will hold another concert.

Question: How does it feel to gather together again in “Dream Flight What We Become Live 2023”?

Venus: It’s been a long time since we’ve all been together like this, because different members have gone to study and work in different places, and they even put on a show together.

Windy: This time’s theme “What We Become” is really suitable for us, because everyone has changed and progressed over the past few years, and this concert can directly show our progress and new changes, just like the pieces of a puzzle. I think I will definitely shout when the time comes, because it’s really fun to capture the time spent together by 15 people.

Windy said that she will definitely shout during the concert!

Sherman: Gigi (Yan Mingxi) has already had her solo concert, but she still comes back to our big family. It is so rare in the name of 15 people. It is not only a concert but also a party. The enthusiasm is still there now, and I hope to be able to do so in the future. Go to a bigger stage. Moreover, each of the 15 of us has a solo song, so it is really rare to be able to sing our own songs.

Chantel: We all have our own development, but coming back to this big family is like finding our original intention and starting point, and reminding us again what the purpose of participating in this competition is.

Yumi: This concert came in a hurry, but we finally got everyone together. It was also our 1,000th show. We grew up together and it was a good memory to witness everyone grow up.

Turkey: I think I have made some progress in singing during these 1,000 days, and I might be more careful about how to express myself better. This time I will not only sing my own Paitai song, but also a touching song, hoping to convey the message to the audience.

The turkeys want viewers to see their progress.

Q: Does the “Jigsaw” MV bring back any unforgettable memories for you?

Yumi: We were in a meeting and saw this MV for the first time, and everyone’s eyes were wet! The most unforgettable thing is when we really met for the first time while camping. Looking back, I used to be very petty, and I have learned a lot now.

Venus: When I woke up to shoot the promo, there were four of us girls dancing next to each other. Sherman and I were even more rusty dancing. Since that day, there have been many late nights, many rehearsals, and different stages.

Sherman: We shout not only for ourselves, but also for each other. You can see everyone’s emotions, instead of “I want to put you down and get on top.”

Sherman thought of everyone shouting for each other.

Question: Chantel has been studying abroad for a long time. Is it rare to get together this time? What do you miss most about Hong Kong when you are abroad?

Chantel: It’s very meaningful and rare. I haven’t seen 15 Qi people in more than a year. Sometimes when they get together, 15 is missing 1 and 13 is missing 2, so this time Qi Ren is very touching and very warm. Even the wallpaper on my computer is the bowing scene in “Legend of Dreams”… I really want to scream when I talk about it!

Chantel was so moved that she put a photo of Xing Meng on her computer desktop.

Q: Are they also the people you miss the most?

Chantel: Yes, we have experienced the same journey, have the same goals, and have similar feelings.

Question: Sherman became one of the 18 emcees in Taiwan. Would you rather develop a career in singing or emceeing?

Sherman: I think being a host and being a singer can go together, and I can also wear two hats. But for example, for Taipei Festival, if I am the master of ceremonies, I will be less involved in the items in Shengmeng. I feel it is a pity that I have lost the experience with them. But I am very happy to be able to do this work alone, so I am very conflicted inside and have to learn to balance. After becoming a host, I also discovered that I really like singing! If there is a ranking, the singer must come before the host.

Q: Venus is about to collaborate with the famous action director father Lin Dian on speeding cars. How are the preparations going?

Venus: 20 years ago, when I was 3 years old, I made a movie with my father. Now I will work with my father again, and I have to undergo strict training. In fact, he has become gentle, because my father is known to have bad tastes on set, because action directors need to be very careful about safety. I have scars and pain all over my body, but I have more respect for people in the action industry. From small things to big things, I don’t quite understand how hard it is and how much time it takes for my parents to do what they do. After this experience, everyone experienced more. I hope to raise more donations for Donghua and let people think that I am Lin Dian’s daughter Lin Junyi. In addition to being a singer and host, I also have another side.

Venus practiced until her whole body was injured for the difficult performance she was about to perform with her father in Tung Wah.

Question: Are you interested in becoming an action actor?

Venus: It depends on whether my father is willing to teach me, a naughty student. He doesn’t have high hopes for me. He knows that I am clumsy. Maybe everyone needs to know me as a singer first.

Question: Yumi is about to take the DSE exam. How to strike a balance between study and work? What do you think of the title “student master”?

Yumi: I am really not a top student. No matter what my grades are in school, I always have to take exams with all schools in Hong Kong. There are many good students in Hong Kong, so I just try my best. The name “Academic Master” is a bit stressful, but the most important thing is to be yourself. I spent a lot of time trying to find the right way to do both. I remember that I was taking exams during the competition, and I had to compete again. I had to prepare songs and study books at the same time. There were a lot of things to deal with. I think academics are the most important. No matter what, I have to finish my homework first, study my books, and spend the rest of my time practicing singing and dancing. It is indeed very difficult. I have been studying and preparing for the concert this time.

Yumi feels a little stressed about the title of “student”.

Question: Windy will also take the DSE exam next year. Do you balance the two now?

Windy: One or two years ago I felt it was pretty balanced, but this year I feel it’s a bit hard. This year, the pressure has begun to pile on. Now I have to study books and do homework on weekends, and I haven’t even finished school work! Still need to make up lessons. This year and the next are hard, and they require strong perseverance to get through, and it is difficult to balance.

Question: When you first entered the competition, did you ever think it would be so difficult to balance the two?

Windy: When I first entered the competition, I didn’t think about balance at all. At that time, I thought that I would just go up and sing one song, but it turned out to be a long-distance battle. I was frightened and timid at the time, and had to contend with a lot of pressure. I was really nervous at that time, and I was easily affected by external comments. My mood fluctuated greatly, and I felt powerless even when I returned to school. Later, my mind becomes stronger, I learn the methods, I understand the balance, and I will get better and better.

Q: After Class reunited, did they finally break the disbandment rumors?

Chantel: I feel that After Class is always united. Even though we are not in the same place, we are always a group. This time we will definitely perform as the group After Class, I hope everyone is looking forward to it.

Windy: You may think that After Class doesn’t produce songs and doesn’t perform for everyone often, but we are connected heart to heart. Maybe everyone thinks they will disband if they can’t bear to sing anymore? It’s definitely not like this, you don’t need to guess too much, you can rest assured.

Yumi: They have already talked about it! Ha ha!

Chantel said that After Class is always one heart.

Question: Looking back now, is it better to debut with 15 people than by one person?

Sherman: I’m so happy that we often go out for activities as a group. Sometimes when we go to activities, we don’t know what we are going to do next. But this time I have someone with me! If you want to die, let’s all die together! Ha ha! Because I really want to rely on other people when I work.

Venus: There is always someone we know well with whom we can share our joys and sorrows. If you make your debut by yourself, it will be harder to share every detail because not everyone understands you. And they understood it as soon as it was explained.

Turkey: What I am grateful for is that we got to know each other first and then competed. We already have a very close relationship, like family. In fact, when we release the first song, we ask everyone for their opinions. All 15 of us have different personalities, so we will learn different things.

Windy: Because I have participated in different competitions since I was a child. I am very competitive and just want to win. I remember I said at the beginning that “competition is higher than friendship”, but gradually my thinking has changed, friendship is the strongest.

Question: Looking back on the past 1,000 days, what is the thing you most want to say to others?

Chantel: I’m very grateful to myself for pressing the submit form! That’s why I met you.

Sherman: I am very grateful for our dream, which brought the 15 of us together to put together a puzzle that may not be perfect, but I am very satisfied with it. This must be the most important memory in my life.

Yumi: I want to tell the 14 people that it’s really hard work and thank you very much. Everyone thinks that this industry is very beautiful, but in fact, this road is not easy. I am very grateful to have you all go through this difficult road together. No matter how many decades later, we are all students of Shengmeng.

Venus: I want everyone to pay attention to their health! Only if you love your body can you love your dream! I want to see you all in good health.

Turkey: Just like the first sentence, nice to meet you. Even when I think about it when I am 6 or 70 years old, it is still a very important memory.

Windy: Maybe people outside care about whether we fly high or not, but we only care about whether you are tired from flying. Because of these 15 people, these difficulties seemed not too difficult to overcome.

Everyone takes this opportunity to thank the remaining 14 comrades.
