DRC: Julien Paluku inspects wastewater treatment devices in Congolese industries – Zoom Eco

The outgoing National Minister of Industry, Julien Paluku Kahongya, launched, on Friday February 26, 2021 in Kinshasa, the control of wastewater treatment devices in local industries.

For this first day, the brewing company Bralima was chosen for this activity.

According to sources close to the Ministry of Industry, this campaign also aims to promote, provide technical support and protect national industry in accordance with the standards already adopted by the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

A contract was signed with the company HYDRAC-CD in order to carry out physico-chemical and bacteriological analyzes of the waste water.

To get a feel for what is being done at Bralima, Julien Paluku had the right to visit the Heineken beer production factories before concluding this descent.

On site, the different stages of production were explained to him.

It should be noted that it is since last year that the Congolese Government, through the Ministry of Industry, signed a partnership contract with the company HYDRAC-CD, with a view to jointly monitoring and the control of wastewater discharged into the environment by industries in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The Managing Director of HYDRAC-CD, Peter Ikome, who signed this contract with the Minister of Industry Julien Paluku, said that this contract aims to find out how to reduce the damage caused by industries in nature.

States around the world control the water produced by industries by standards.
