The draw for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France took place this Monday evening. A big clash is looming between Stade Rennais and Olympique de Marseille, who are the only Ligue 1 clubs to face each other, with the exception of the duel between Clermont and Strasbourg.
The other elite teams are rather spared such as Lyon, Lille, Brest and Montpellier who will play respectively against Bergerac, the Racing Club, Trélissac Antonne and Feignies Aulnoye, National 2 teams. Paris SG inherited US Orléans ( National).
Toulouse, defending champion, will play Rouen (National). Nantes, winner in 2022 and finalist of the previous edition, will face Laval (Ligue 2). Bordeaux (L2) will host Nice, second in Ligue 1. Monaco will travel to Rodez (L2). Sochaux (National) will face Reims (L1).
Finally, Petit Poucet Saint-Priest (N3) will try to qualify for the round of 16 against Romorantin (N2).
The round of 16 matches will be played on weekend of January 20 and 21.
