Eintracht Frankfurt has qualified for the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup. We give an overview of the draw, game dates and possible opponents.
Frankfurt – Eintracht Frankfurt has made it and is in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup. But it was hard work, because in the round of 16 SV Darmstadt 98 demanded everything from the Eagles and delivered a great fight to the Bundesliga team. In the end, however, the SBU deservedly won 4:2 against the leaders of the 2nd Bundesliga and is waiting for their next opponent. Scorers for Eintracht Frankfurt were Randal Kolo Muani with a brace, Rafael Borre and Daichi Kamada.
Eintracht Frankfurt is in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup
The draw for the quarterfinals in the DFB Cup will take place on Sunday, February 19th. The draw can be seen live on TV station ZDF (5:10 p.m.). Unlike in the first rounds, there will be no two pots, as no amateur club has made it into the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup. All lots are drawn from one pot, the first club automatically has home rights.
The quarter-finals will be played on April 4th and 5th, 2023. The DFB will schedule the individual games after the draw. Then it is also clear which duel will be shown on free TV. From the quarter-finals onwards, the individual teams need two more victories to qualify for the grand final in Berlin. The final will take place in the Olympic Stadium on June 3rd, a week after the 34th and last matchday of the 2022/23 Bundesliga season.
Eintracht Frankfurt: Heavy opponent threatens in the draw
In addition to Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg, FC Bayern Munich, VfB Stuttgart, Union Berlin and RB Leipzig also qualified for the round of the last eight teams. The remaining two participants will be determined in the duels 1. FC Nürnberg against Fortuna Düsseldorf and VfL Bochum against Borussia Dortmund. In addition to seven first division clubs, a club from the 2nd Bundesliga will also be in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup.
Meanwhile, Randal Kolo Muani continues to trump at Eintracht Frankfurt. Despite rumors of a change, he will probably also play for the SGE in the coming season.
