Juventus still can’t win at Italian League this season. The Bianconeri drew 1-1 with AC Milan and into the relegation zone.
Juventus vs Milan took place at the Allianz Stadium, Monday (20/9/2021) early morning WIB. The Old Lady were able to take the lead in the first half through Alvaro Morata’s quick goal.
Milan was only able to equalize the score in the second half through Ante Rebic’s header. The goal was created from Milan’s second attempt that led to the goal, before Pierre Kalulu also threatened the Juventus goal at the end of the match.
This draw makes Juventus enter the relegation zone after sitting in 18th with two points. Milan is in second place with 10 points and only lost on goal difference to Inter Milan at the top of the table.
Run of the Game:
Milan suppressed the Juventus defense early in the match through Sandro Tonali’s shot from outside the penalty box which resulted in a corner kick. The corner kick situation turned out to be a disaster for the Rossoneri as all the players were in the Old Lady’s territory.
The clearance ball fell to Paulo Dybala, who then passed the ball to Alvaro Morata. The Spanish striker then made a solo run into the Milan penalty box and successfully beat Mike Maignan. 1-0 Juventus took the lead in the fourth minute.
Milan increasingly aggressive pressing and Juventus trying to survive while waiting for the momentum to counterattack. Morata almost doubled the score for Juventus in the 16th minute after his shot from close range was denied by Maignan.
Stefano Pioli’s team was only able to fire a shot on goal in the 23rd minute through Sandro Tonali. The ball released by the 21-year-old midfielder was still too weak and Wojciech Szczesny easily blocked it.
Milan had a good chance in the 42nd minute when Ante Rebic had the ball in the penalty box. The Croatian winger was still not calm in opening a shot until it was blocked by Giorgio Chiellini.
Juventus managed to make it difficult for Milan to penetrate the penalty box throughout the first half. The Bianconeri also led 1-0 until halftime.
Juventus immediately threatened when the second half had only been running for one minute. Utilizing a ball from Alex Sandro, Morata fired a shot from a tight angle which was blocked by Maignan.
Adrien Rabiot’s turn to threaten Milan in the 49th minute. The French midfielder grabbed the ball from the stomach while jumping, but the direction has not met the target.
Milan had a good chance in the 61st minute. Brahim Diaz found his way into the Juventus penalty area after a one-two with Alexis Saelemaekers, but the Real Madrid loanee was too late to shoot for the opponent.
There was a quarrel between Dybala and Tonali in the 66th minute. The referee had to give yellow cards to both players.
Danilo stepped up to help Juventus attack in the 73rd minute and fired from the side of the box. The Brazilian’s experiment was still able to be pushed aside by Maignan.
Milan finally equalized the score to 1-1 in the 76th minute through Ante Rebic. The Croatian was without difficulty heading the ball from Tonali’s corner.
Juventus are increasingly under pressure after conceding. Rebic even came close to scoring again in the 82nd minute when his hard shot went wide of goal.
Wojciech Szczesny made a brilliant save in the 86th minute. He was able to parry the ball from close range shots from Pierre Kalulu.
There were no additional goals until the game was over. Juventus and Milan had to settle for sharing one point.
