Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan managed to qualify for the 2022 BWF World Tour Finals after defeating the Malaysian doubles, Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi, 17-21, 21-13, 21-19.
Ong/Teo started the match well and took the first two points. Later they were able to create a three-point difference at 5-2.
Ahsan/Hendra didn’t just stay silent. They started to put up resistance and had time to narrow the points difference to two at 4-6.
However, Ong/Teo is superior in a number of car fights. They also went by five points at 10-5. Ong/Teo’s undulating attack ended with Teo Ee Yi’s smash ending the first interval of play with the score 11-5 for Malaysia’s double lead.

Teo Ee Yi then reduced the delay to 16-17 with a great return serve. The score was back to tie at 17-17 after Hendra’s punch came out.
Ahsan/Hendra therefore responded well to the situation. They quickly took two points to take a 19–17 lead.
The match gets hotter because Ong/Teo once again manage to come back and equalize at 19-19.
Ahsan/Hendra’s attack managed to break through Ong/Teo’s defense. The Dads also won match points at 20-19.
Ahsan/Hendra finally won the match with a score of 21-19 after Ahsan/Hendra’s attack ended with a hard punch from Ahsan that could not be blocked.
