Strong winds caused the sailing yacht to capsize off the coast of Sicily. At least one person died. Prominent British tech billionaire Mike Lynch is said to be among the missing. His 18-year-old daughter is also missing.

The owner of the villa whose camera filmed the accident told Italian media: “In just sixty seconds you can see the ship disappear. Of the twenty or so cameras installed in the house, only one was not disturbed by the wind and rain. You can clearly see what is happening. Nothing could be done for the boat. It disappeared in a very short time.”
On Tuesday, divers continued the search for the six missing passengers at a depth of 50 meters. Fire service specialists trained to dive in confined spaces are on duty. According to the fire service, a first dive by the specialists who traveled from Rome and Sardinia was unsuccessful because pieces of furniture blocked access to the interior of the yacht. According to experts, the next 24 hours are crucial to possibly rescuing the passengers alive.
