On a playground outside her parents’ apartment building in the north of Jerusalem, Mechi Fendel stands and talks about the most dramatic day of her life. But as the 56-year-old begins to describe what happened, the flight alarm suddenly begins to wail.
A father grabs hold of his child and runs towards the nearby garage. Fendel runs behind, with Aftenposten close behind. She sprints up a flight of stairs, where she stops, out of breath.
