A rescue operation was launched by the fire service and the coast guard, after a car went over a cliff on the Isle of Man, with England to the east and Ireland to the west.

The driver must have climbed out of the car himself after the crash, according to the fire service.

According to the British newspaper, the driver was a woman. The rescue operation must have taken around three hours, and the incident took place at 11.15pm last Thursday.
According to the police, the woman must have been sent to hospital with minor injuries.
– The driver was alone in the vehicle, and got out of the car himself, but needed assistance from the emergency services to get to safety. The fire service and the coast guard launched a rescue operation and to save the vehicle, the fire service stated, according to The Telegraph.
