Riverdale ends after the seventh season, reports Deadline Thursday. The sixth series of the drama series, which is made by the American channel CW and can be seen on Netflix in the Netherlands, is currently being broadcast in the United States.
The slot will be shown on television in 2023.
The series, which started in 2017, follows the life of high school student Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) and his friends in the small town of Riverdale. Behind the picture perfect picture that the town prides itself on, hide some dark secrets. For example, a fellow student is murdered and the perpetrator turns out to have lived among the residents all this time.
The lead roles are played by Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse and Vanessa Morgan, among others. The actor Luke Perry, who died in 2019, also played a role in the series. After his unexpected death, a special episode commemorated his death.
