Drama in New YorkHe kills his girlfriend and her future baby in an accident at 160 km/h
Drunk driving, a 30-year-old accidentally caused the death of his partner and their future baby on Sunday in New York.
A young pregnant woman was killed on Sunday in Staten Island, New York, in a road accident. Her boyfriend was arrested and charged with manslaughter, negligent homicide, endangering the lives of others and drunk driving, among other charges. Adem Nikeziq, 30, was driving over 160 km/h around 5 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle, reports the New York Post.
The 30-year-old’s car slammed into a wall before spinning and crashing into a utility pole, an NYPD spokesperson said. Under the violence of the shock, Adriana Sylmetaj, 23, was ejected from the car and was killed instantly. Her boyfriend was only slightly injured. “I don’t understand how this pylon can still stand. He was hit so violently,” says Mario Basso, a trader who witnessed the tragedy.
The couple were expecting a child, a baby girl, in April and had registered a birth list at a local store. In front of the victim’s house, his relatives did not hide their anger: “He will pay for it for the rest of his life, but it is still not enough for this bag of shit. They couldn’t save the baby. We will never get over it,” someone said. Originally from Brooklyn, Adriana was educated in Staten Island and worked in an animal hospital.
