One of the recent concerts of the Slovak band Gladiator turned into a drama. Right in front of 2,000 fans, according to information from the website New Time guitarist Tomáš Lívo Vereš collapsed.
The concert in Trebatice, Slovakia, ran smoothly until about half past on August 14, when the forty-six-year-old musician suddenly fell to the ground. Nobody knew what had happened to him.
“I was completely shocked because I turned to Leva just as he was falling. At first I thought he was just tripping over the cable, but he was lying on the ground, which scared me completely. Of course we stopped playing right away, we gathered around him, they gave him water and helped him to his feet, “described the singer and frontman Miko Hladký.
“Suddenly it darkened before my eyes, I lost my balance and fell to the ground. Then I didn’t know about myself for a few minutes. When I woke up, the whole band and our manager stood over me. Nothing like this had ever happened to me before,” the guitarist described. .
Fortunately, there were rescuers on site who immediately took care of the guitarist. “They measured my pressure, checked if I was okay, and also if I was able to stand up. Their final verdict was a total collapse of the body due to dehydration,” added the rocker.
After the guitarist’s collapse, however, the performance did not end. “People were great and applauded for everything to turn out well. It really gave me energy. After about 10 minutes I stood up and I was ready to continue. I would be sorry not to play when so many people arrived because of us,” said Tomáš Lívo Vereš .
