At a concert: Drake takes on a fan’s six-figure mortgage

Rapper Drake (37) is known for his charitable side, especially among his fans. It’s now almost a tradition for the rapper to give a gift to someone in the audience during a performance.
The native Canadian has often given away rare designer bags or thousands of francs. Often during a live performance when the rapper reads signs from his fans.
On Saturday, the 37-year-old performed in Kansas City as part of his “It’s all a blur – Big as the what?” tour, where he once again changed a fan’s life forever.
Drake pays a fan’s mortgage
During an exchange with his fans, Drake received a note, which he eventually read to the entire crowd. “Your mother passed away?” said the rapper and continued: “Oh, that’s the outstanding balance here? That’s a lot of money. But, you know what? I’ll pay your entire mortgage for you. That’s 160,000, but I pay it out of my pocket, it comes from me.” Even during his speech, his fans cheered the generous gesture, but it wasn’t the first blessing for Drake.
Drake donates thousands of francs to cancer patients
Only in February of this year did he give the equivalent of around 44,000 francs to a cancer survivor. The fan held up a sign that read: “Your music got me through cancer.” When Drake spotted the sign, he said, “I’m going to keep trying to make music you want to hear, but tonight we’re going to give you $50,000.”
However, this wasn’t the first time Drake helped a fan battling cancer. Just a few concerts before, a female fan held up a sign that said “Just finished chemo!” was standing.
When the 37-year-old saw the sign, he pointed at her and said: “Forget Drake. Forget everyone else in this building right now. There’s a real fighter!” before promising her $100,000.

Another time, a fan posted a sign explaining that his girlfriend stood him up and didn’t go to the Drake concert with him. Drake then said, “So she didn’t come with you tonight? To the Drake show? What the hell is wrong with her?” and added: “You know what? She’s going to feel really ripped off because I’m giving you 50,000 so you can show off to her tonight.”
However, even less dramatic stories seem to be reason enough for Drake to give away a year’s salary. He once gave a fan $50,000 just for furniture. He also held up a sign that said: “I spent all my furniture money on tour tickets.” Drake was completely horrified: “You know what? Your furniture money? I’ll give you 50,000. Because I love you!”
