This 51-year-old Varoise is the new director of the five-class nursery school. She spent the last two years at the Henri Michel elementary school in Vidauban. “It was a bit like a homecoming”, she rejoices.
Before returning to the Var, the teacher spent 15 years in Marseille. “I was a kindergarten principal in the northern districts of the city, I also worked in an elementary school.”
An experience that marked her a lot. The working conditions were not easy there. There was a lot of tension in elementary school. “Sometimes parents fought among themselves. We managed to calm the situation, in particular by bringing in associations specializing in mediation.”
Fundamental work recognized by parents and school teams. “When I left, everyone gave me a big party”, she remembers.
Director and singer
Céline Brémond is full of surprises. She had a career as a singer alongside that of a teacher. In Marseille, she even opens for Anne Sylvestre at the Toursky theater. She remembers it with great emotion: “Anne Sylvestre was like a spiritual mother to me.” This talent, the former singer puts it at the service of children. “I write little rhymes for them”
This year, she will have to face the difficulties caused by the health crisis. Because, in kindergarten, it is difficult to enforce barrier gestures for children. She also intends to pursue projects initiated by her predecessor.
Like setting up a small vegetable patch. Céline Brémond starts well. “The atmosphere is very nice. Anyway, I was warned. When you enter Pierre-Brossolette, you don’t want to leave.”
