Draguignan
Tomorrow 8.69% of the technical agents of the schools (ATE) and of the territorial agents specialized in kindergartens (ATSEM) will go on strike, as well as 20% of the extracurricular animators.
Four schools in Dracénoises will be without canteens: the Jean-Jaurès nursery school, the Marie-Curie primary school, the Les Ecureuils primary school, the Louis-Pasteur nursery school and one school will be completely closed: Paul-Arène. At the Léon-Blum Lycée: “I think Tuesday’s mobilization will be similar to September 29, about 10% of the staff”, provides Jean-François Guérini, the principal. There are no interruptions in Dracénie at the level of the bus network, but a risk due to the parade of demonstrators who have an appointment at 10:30 in front of the sub-prefecture.
Frejus
No interruptions in the schools, only one teacher has declared himself on strike.
Toulon
On the Mistral network side, public transport in the Toulon area is normally provided, the company indicates. But interruptions are foreseeable due to the parade of demonstrators. The rally starts at 10:30 on the square of the Toulon station.
The Seyne
Due to the strike of the municipal workers, all the canteens will be closed. Parents are advised to provide a cold meal for their children. Supervision will be ensured. The after-school service will be closed in four schools: Martini, Saint-Exupéry (elementary), Renan and Victor-Hugo (nursery school)
Questions to Armel Briend, CGT co-secretary Éduc’Action 06
Overlapping fights. But she converges on one point: a rumbling against the government. There are twenty professional high schools in the Alpes-Maritimes. Today, some of the teachers in these institutions will mobilize to express their opposition to the reform aimed at reducing the number of hours devoted to general education. Armel Briend, CGT co-secretary Éduc’Action 06, explains the reasons for the slingshot.
What does this reform say?
You have to understand that it was announced by Emmanuel Macron in September in Les Sables-d’Olonne. Without any consultation. Vocational education is under attack. We are talking about over 600,000 children. Technically we are destroying the path and lowering the qualification of the students.
Comment?
The internship period in the company would be increased by 50%, passing from twenty-two to thirty-three weeks of one’s training time. This comes at a cost: the drop in general lessons. We will therefore do without teachers, and a number of positions will be threatened. The level of pupils will also be weakened.
Why shouldn’t this help integration into the world of work, in your opinion?
It’s just state-funded cheap labor. We care very little about dropping out of school eventually. Furthermore, it cannot be denied that there is the issue of discrimination: girls have much more difficulty in finding internships, as do people belonging to minorities. There is a refusal on the part of the government to see this.
